Honda VFR 800 with Scorpion Exhaust - Jackson, California

Scorpion Exhaust: Clean canisters fit the VFR 800 reasonably well.
Scorpion Exhaust: Clean canisters fit the VFR 800 reasonably well.

I shot these photos in downtown Jackson, California a few months back. The VFR 800 was parked near a shop I was visiting, the tasty Scorpion exhaust system caught my eye.

So, I whipped out my camera, and shot a few close-ups just to test the camera and practice close-up photography. I hope you like the results.

Later, I heard the VFR start up, as the owner was preparing to leave - the Scorpions sounded very nice indeed.

Warren's Harley-Davidson - Salinas

Warren's Harley-Davidson held their open house on June 2nd, 2007 and I just happened to be in the area, so I stopped in to check out the event. There were quite a few bikes on display, a band, and refreshments.

I spotted these very clean Harley drag bikes at the 2007 Easyriders show in Sacramento.

An impressive collection of racers - every one of them looked like they'd be a blast to ride down the strip.

Sorry for the late post, these were lost and recently recovered.

2008 Honda Motorcycles

2008 Honda Motorcycle Models

What's up with the 2008 Honda motorcycle line-up? What is Big Red going to do to turn up the volume and up the ante?

Rumors abound, so I'm going to try to summarize some of the ones I've encountered while surfing the web.

2008 Honda VFR details revealed in a patent document?

Details of Honda’s 2008 VFR1000 have been revealed in a newly published motorcycle patent document – which shows the motorcycle to have a radical new frame design.

The Honda V-four sports tourer motorcycle, which gets a capacity boost to 1000cc for next year with an all-new engine, features a two-piece chassis, with separate front and rear sections. The engine itself provides the majority of the motorcycle's frame strength.

There is still some hope for a V-Five VFR variant, apparently :

The patent also reveals that Honda hasn’t yet ditched the idea of a V-five engine, as one picture shows the same frame design with a five-cylinder motor bolted in place of the V-four.

Hayabusa-derived 2.8L V8 engine - Hartley Enterprises

Now this is just too cool - Hartley Enterprises mates two Suzuki Haybusa motors, grafting them together to make a jewel-like, lightweight V8 motor.
