The Contestants Bikes

The Bikes (II): A look at the bikes in the 2007 Ducati Superbike Concorso final round starting with the 2007 1098S Casey Stoner Tribute bike.

2001 996 SPS: Fans got a chance to see the details normally hidden by bodywork on this awesome 2001 Ducati 996 SPS.

1974 750SS Green Frame: We have all seen pictures of the 750SS Green Frame in magazines but you really need to see this bike in person to fully appreciate it.

1995 Ducati 916: Massimo Tamburini set the motorcycle world on fire with the sleek styling and performance of the Ducati 916 released in 1993. This is a beautiful 1995 example.
The 2007 Ducati Superbike Concorso Winner
Loius Saif has a beautiful Original Vintage Ducati motorcycle restored to perfection, but maybe RoadCarvin Karma helped a bit. Friday traffic was bad on 101 and I missed getting my credentials in Seaside by about 20 minutes. I was told by the Embassy Suites staff that I might be able to check in at the track. I was unable to get my credentials, however I checked out the vendor layout and happened to see Lou Saif working on his beautiful 1983 Ducati TT1. He told me that the wrong size O-rings where in the clutch cover and he wanted to make sure the bike was up to spec when it made its Parade Lap as part of the Final Ducati Superbike Concorso Competition. I got some pictures of them testing the bike in the parking area between Ducati Island and turn 2-3. I must say the bike sounds and runs great. On Saturday, I was able to talk to Louis Saif about his wonderful 1983 Ducati TT1 and he gave me some more details about the bike:
- Very Rare Ducati/N.C.R race bike 1 of 25
- 98% Original/Restored motorcycle
- N.C.R. Clutch
- Polished and lightened close ratio gears and engine internals
- 41mm Malossi carbs
- Big valve and port Pantah heads
- N.C.R. dry clutch
- Oil Cooler
- 38mm Marzocchi forks
- Quick release Marvic Wheel
Congratulations to Louis Saif - winner of the 2007 Ducati Superbike Concorso
Your enthusiasm, mechanical ability, and passion for perfection paid off.
