Scenery
A Golden Opportunity
Highway 88 near Woodfords and highways 89 and 4 near Markleeville provide a spectacular combination of dramatic mountain views and fantastic fall foliage. In October, the aspens turn a beautiful color, revealing a surprising collection of wildly-colored landscapes to the lucky traveller.
Travelling east on 88 out of the mountain passes towards 89 and Lake Tahoe, we are delighted to see the hills awash in fiery colors.
