2008 Triumph Thruxton
2008 Thruxton Updates
- Fuel Injection
- Repositioned handlebars with bar end mirrors
- New 2008 colors - Jet Black with gold stripe, Aluminum Silver with red stripe
Triumph raised the one piece handlebar for a sporty but more upright riding position, the bar end mirrors were designed for the Thruxton. The gas cap release was redesigned and is 60% easier to release.
The big change for 2008 is fuel injection. To retain the classic look the throttle bodies were designed to look like carburetors. The 865cc in-line twin is rated at 69hp at 7,400 rpm and 52 ft. lbs. of torque at 5,800 rpm. Combined with modern suspension, brakes and tires the Thruxton will provide a classic looking ride with modern attitude.
