Road Glide Gone from 2010 Harley-Davidson line-up?
I heard that 2009 will be the last year for the Road Glides. Yup, in 2010, Harley-Davidson will cease selling the Road Glide models.
Can anyone confirm or deny this? What's your source on this?
2010 Roadglide
That is an affirmative on no more Roadglide, told me right at the dealers today...No Roadglide, LowRider, Roadking Standard model with fiberglass bags, and no more FLH Standard
another model too is discontinued
They also told me the Rocker not the C model but the base is being discontinued
Road Glide 2010
They have said they will make a screaming eagle Road Glide in 2010
FLTR
The name road glide will no longer be, but the bike and fairing will continue, the name has been changed, they are adding more features to the bike like the ultra classic, just like when the bike used to be called the tour glide then became the name road glide, you will see...
FLTR
Wrench, you sound well informed. Are you speculating or do you have verifiable sources?
No RG, but...
There are two Road Glide models: "U" and "X"
2010 Harleys
That appears to be whats going on for 2010. That came from the dealer here in Santa Maria Ca. July 25th. is the big dealer meeting for 2010 model year. Any time after that all rumors and propaganda will be null and void. Lets hope for a better year for America and our favorite bike of choice.
Road Glide Gone
Just checked the California emissions testing site for 2010. Harley has a FLTRU and a FLTRX so just a guess but looks like a Road Glide with a tour pack and a Street glide version for the Road Glide. Like a just a guess but there are some form or FLTR's out in 2010.

2010 FLTR
Okay, so they are going to discontinue production of the FLTR. No big deal. It has happened before only to be brought back years later. We FLTR owners suspected this was coming following production of the SVO edition of the FLTR.
2010
I think there might be a styling change!
H-D Watercooled in 2010?
This old post on hdforums.com predicts that 2010 will bring watercooling. It's a joke, though... isn't it?
http://hdforums.com/forum/general-harley-davidson-chat/258746-2010-harleys-to-be-watercooled.html
Watercooled
Good on emissions thru 2010 so doubtful this year 2011 would be the change if any
Water cooled
From what I understand, the requirements for emissions was meet in California in 2008. California is 2 years ahead of the rest of the country. In 2010 the rest of the states will have to meet the requirements. Unless they change the tier I, tier II, requirements, HD should be fine.
Watercooled H-Ds...
When (if ever) will H-D go totally water-cooled?
Take a few seconds to answer our poll question and let us know what you think!
rumors are that there will
rumors are that there will be a bagger with a vrod motor fpr 2010, can anyone verify it fosho?
watercooled for 2010
i was talking to the service manager at the HD dealership last month and he told me the same thing in very discreet terms. There is a bagger planned for 2010 that will have the same set up as the vrod, water cooled and all.
Project Nova
Here is a concept. Harley can not go to a liquid cooled touring bike with the V-rod motor it does not have enough torque for those big heavy bikes. The rumor I have heard is project Nova is not dead and just might show up in a radical looking FLTR for 2010.
Ducati has figured out how
Ducati has figured out how to make 170hp and 100ft/lb out of a liquid cooled vtwin. that is enough to move a bagger. If the Italians can do it why can't we do it in America!
Big difference between horsepower and torque
Ever looked at a Dyno chart from a engine test? Torque and horsepower numbers are not constant through the RPM band.
The engines you refer to have to be rev'ed to 10-11k rpms to generate their torque and HP numbers. Kind of hard to take off from stop with an 850lb bike if you have to get it on up to 10k rpms before you have any power.
HP and Torque
I have an RC51.... The bike is Honda's answer to Ducati. The REDLINE on my bike, and the Ducati, is 10,200 RPM's. ALL of my power and torque are created between 3500, and 7,500 RPM with the horsepower takeing over after that. When Vincent (Black Shadow) tried to come back with a (HEAVY) bike, they used retuned RC51 motors, because they didn't want to spend the money to design their own V-Twin. So a Ducati style V-twin motor is a great motor to run in a Harley. They are 90 degree V-angle though, and Harley doesn't want to change from their roots on the angle.
Water Cooled HD
A few years ago I was told, by a very reliable HD insider, that the in the future HD will produce a Bagger with a V-Rod motor. He went on to say that it is possible that a majority of HD models may very well be based on the V-Rod platform. Of course, this would be a sad day indeed as far as I am concerned.
It's called the RoadRod
Road glide goes away and a bagger for the V-Rod is introduced.
This leads the way for water cooled Ultra's in 2011.
why dosent harly try the 0%
why dosent harly try the 0% financing like the carmakers. Im in the market for a 2009 street glide, but the 21000 out the door price is a little hard to swallow.
Better Financing
Given the size of their finance company, they may not have access to funds cheap enough to afford such an offer. It looks like they may have a partner relationship with Eaglemark Savings bank so they may not actually handle the underwriting. This type of consumer lending is also risky especially given the economy. The first thing somebody's going to stop paying for if they lose their job is a boat, snowmobile or motorcycle, then car, then house.
HD's rates are pretty high which could mean their strategy may be to lend to people that are of lower credit quality or have a limited credit history in order to be a lender of last resort to move a bike. People that are lower risk and have better credit should be able find better rates than what HD seems to offer.
Rates reflect risk among other things.
H-D's rates reflect the risk inherent in loaning money to purchase a pleasure vehicle. (As much as some would like to think a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle is a necessity, trust me, the banks don't share that opinion.)
Loaning money to people who want to buy a motorcycle or boat is higher risk than, say, loaning for a house. People have to live in a house, and at least in the old days, people put up a significant chunk of their own money to get the loan, thus putting them at risk to lose their own hard-earned savings -- which means they are less likely to default.
But a motorcycle? Somehow I doubt someone in financial trouble is going to struggle to make the payment on that brand-new H-D in the garage. Like it or not, even a car is more important to the average Joe than a motorcycle, on a day-to-day basis. Lenders know this. As does Harley-Davidson. So they have to balance their need to sell more bikes against their need to price risk into their rates.
All other things being equal, greater risk = higher interest rates
0% Financing
I also have the same question! Why doesn't H-D off 0% Financing, with the stipulation of putting some money down! That is what they are doing in the province of Alberta Canada, and sales skyrocketed through the roof!
I am looking at purchasing an HD, but haven't yet due to kind of hard to swallow the price when it is more than a car...mmmmmmmm
Like everything else, if every industry, began to lower their prices, then people would have more disposable income, and start spending more, getting the economy back on its feet....makes sense to me.
No Roadglide but new model
No Roadglide but new model coming called Roadglide Ultra.
Hi everyone! The Road Glide
Hi everyone! The Road Glide has been increasing in sales every year, probably has to do with aging population. That aside everyone I know who has taken one out for a spin says it is the best HD they ever rode. It was the fastest selling HD Screaming Eagle in 09. What are they thinking? I'll tell you that if HD decides to turn touring models into water cooled bikes, I would like to see the buyers stay away. Is there a corporation out there who understands the buying public anymore? Makes me wonder.
Okay, here is the real deal:
Okay, here is the real deal: First, the post about Road Kings with the painted hard bags being discontinued is not true. Harley is not discontinuing any Road King models for 2010. The models they ARE discontinuing for 2010 are: FLHT Electra Glide Standard, FLTR Road Glide, FXSTB Night Train, FXCW Rocker "standard" (The FXCWC remains), FXDL Low Rider, and XL883C 883 Custom.
This information is common knowledge to all Harley dealers if you know who to ask or where to look. This info also matches the chart at the top of the post.
Now as far as new models, I don't have any inside track, except for one comment in a recent dealer bulletin: Record levels of new models are being launched at the Summer Dealer Meeting in July.
As far as Harley dicontinuing popular models and "the Road Glide increasing in sales over the past few years", that doesn't mean that any corporation can keep adding new models with out discontinuing the least popular models along the way. It's called progress. The Road Glide would be staying if it sold well, it doesn't. If it was the most popular model it would be around in 2010. It might be the best of the touring bikes but if it doesn't sell....remember the FXR?
2010
Heres the big question, the 6 models listed have been announced as deleted, but FLHT and FXDL appear on the 2010 color chart.
The FLHT and FXDL appear on
The FLHT and FXDL appear on the color chart as international models only. They are discontuined for U.S. sales only. You have to read the fine print at the bottom of the color chart!
Heritage Softail Classic
Do you know if they will put a wider tire on the 2010 Heritage?
Today's scene - bigger urban
Today's scene - bigger urban areas, more people, more traffic, more lights, more idling in traffic, and hotter engines. Harley will have to offer more models with liquid-cooling, especially on cruisers and baggers. Nobody wants big, ugly radiators like on the Boss Hoss and Triumph Rocket III, but some bike makers have made radiators smaller, less visible, and reasonably attractive, mounting them between the front frame bars. Got better cooling ideas? Tell Harley.
Would love to see more HP and torque on Harley cruisers and baggers, too. With today's technology and liquid cooling, big block V-twins should be able to make 150+ HP and 150+ lbs. of torque. S&S engines and R&R engines do it without liquid cooling. Hey, Harley, how about a "150" cruiser - 150 cubes, 150 HP, and 150 lbs. of torque? That would create excitement and sales again.
Just what they need; a 25mpg
Just what they need; a 25mpg Harley. What they really need is a new, preferably single cam air-cooled OHV 45 degree V-twin. If they can't improve on the cool-running Evo that got great fuel mileage, then they should just start putting it in all their bikes again. They've sold a lot of Twin Cams when people were desperate to buy a Harley, but in these tough times they need a quality engine again.
Road Glide
I hope you guys are wrong on the Road Glide!
I've wanted one for some time and I waited until they got it right. It seems like the 2009s are perfect after they fixed the frame wobble issue.
But finances are tight and I'd rather wait until this fall to buy. But if this is true then I'll have to make a difficult decision.
Please let me know if this is going to happen or if the Road Glide Ultra is a reality.
road glide
I no for a fact no road glide for 2010photos
Any rumblings on 2010 CVO
Any rumblings on 2010 CVO line up ? Im hoping for a Screaming Eagle Street Glide ...
2010 CVO
I was at my deal a few weeks ago and the owner told me he believes the FLHX Street Glide will be one of the CVO's for 2010.
H-D will not make a CVO
H-D will not make a CVO FLHX. Believe me, as an employee of a dealership that sees most FLHX's never even hit the floor before they are sold, you won't see that model this year. People buy the FLHX and throw money at P&A and the company doesn't want to change that.
flhx
Plenty of street glides for sale here in NC. Glides and Ultras the big sellers here.
2010 CVOs
FLHX and FLSTC will be there. If you want an FLHX put your hand in your pocket right now, they will never touch the showroom floor.
You will be getting your
You will be getting your wish! 2010 will have a FLHXSE model.
2010 CVOs
Street Glide
Fat Bob
Softail Standard
Ultra
cvo for 2010
Close but missed one. The softail will be a Heritage.
As a Harley Davidson
As a Harley Davidson salesperson, I can tell you in the last three years I have only sold (1) new and (1) used Road glide. I am not surprised at all that this model is being discontinued. I have definitely heard from customers that the ride is like none other and the balance is awesome, but I still think the general public has a hard time getting past the fixed faring. The screaming eagle road glide (09) has gotten alot of attention but our dealership got 2 of them one was pre sold and the other is still available. I actually thought the Street Glide would have been a CVO in 09', we can only hope for 10'. Hopefully there will be a replacement for the Night train as it was an affordable way to get onto a softail model. I personally have no privvy information on any new models for the summer dealer show, so I will be surprised like everyone else.
Until then, ride on and be safe
Road Glide
I have a 2005 Road Glide and a 2003 Heritage and I like them both and both over 100 HP and still getting 45 MPG with the race turner and to me the best thing of the Road Glide is the fixed Fairing, I have to admit the 1st 50 miles I thought I made a big mistake coming from a Soft tail to a vibrating fixed faring bike but after the getting home I was feeling better and then the next day after 250 miles I was in love for 3rd time (Girl Friend 1st and the Soft tail 2nd and the Road Glide 2nd) I would not give up the fixed faring. What color is the CVO Road glide that you have Saleslady and where is it? As far as the Road Glide going that is right but the fixed faring NO it may look different but I think the FLTRX is a new model and maybe the fixed faring trimmed down. As far as the liquid cooled bikes I was told NO but maybe in 2012 when the deadline is for the smog stuff but they keep changing that so who knows. The only time I will buy a new bike is when Harley get smart and has a Ultra Road Glide Water Cooled model (Fixed faring with all the stuff the Ultra Classic has and water cooled).
When do you think all H-D's will be watercooled?
When will H-D water-cool their entire line-up?
Will H-D ever water-cool their traditional line-up? Or will they remain 'forever true' to their air-cooled heritage, despite ever-tightening noise, air pollution, and fuel economy regulations?
Take a few seconds to answer our poll question and let us know what you think!
Sales
All sales people are in the same boat! But if I sold only 2 Road Glides in 3 years time my boss would show me the door! That bike is wonderful, I ride one and sell off of it...
roadglide
I own a 08 105th ann. roadglide and I absolutly love it. In the wind nothing beats it. The only thing I dont like is thats a little slow but its made for comfort not speed. If i have a need for speed I fire up My yamaha Startoliner (tricked out by the way) and eat sreaming eagles for lunch. But thats off point I rode a ultra for a weekend then rode the roadglide and the r.g. beats it hands down. And it seems like everyone has an ulta or streetglide and I wanted something differant. The copper color makes it stand out in a crowd.. I really love my bike.
The Road Glide is not
The Road Glide is not available in some counries like Australia - its gone.
Interested in the 09 RG Eagle
If the 2010 is a no for the RGlide , I'm interested in the 09 Eagle if you still have it .
Where are you ? How much , and color ?
FLTRSE3
I have one orange FLTRSE3 left in stock. Give mne a call. 503-363-0634

Colors
Just curious when the color choices will be available for specific models. I would REALLY like to see a Mirage Orange Pearl Street Glide.
Orange Pearl Street Glide
I wanna see a Mirage Orange Pearl Street Glide CVO.
I will buy it!
Orange Pearl Street Glide
I wanna see a Mirage Orange Pearl Street Glide CVO.
I will buy it!
Mirage orange looks kind of
Mirage orange looks kind of gaudy on an flhx we had one painted that color here at Chunky-River but it sold fast
The following should be
The following should be MUST:
Vrod Muscle Special (all-black)
Vrod family should at least have 150 of HP & toraue
ALL other cruisers and tourers should get increase in both power and torque.
otherwise wont call it a 2010 year !!
2010 Road Glide
I have it from a dealer that the Road Glide is discontinued - replaced with the Tour Glide - basically an Ultra with a fixed fairing - Tour-Pak, lowers, etc. with the shark nose fairing...
2010 Road Glide
How reliable is your source about the 2010 Road Glide being replaced with a model called the Tour Glide which would be an Ultra with fixed fairing-Tour-Pak,lowers,C.B.,intercom. etc with the shark nose fairing.
That would be my dream bike that I have been waiting for. I hope you are right about this.
2010 Ultra Glide
Yeah, the Road Glide is being replace by an Ultra Glide, so said our dealer/sales manager last month. But then, the dealership owner also insists they don't know the new models until the same date we know the models -- July 25 -- that H-D reveals to them at the dealer show same time they release it online.
Sad for the Low Rider
I hope they have something in mind for the female riders who cant handle the larger bikes and are vertically challenged. The only Harley I could fit on was the Low Rider, which is what I bought.
All I can say is......if you have any of the discontinued bikes and were planning on upgrades......better get them now before all the accessories that fit those bikes are GONE and the Dealers cant get them for you anymore.
the Fatbob and the Streetbob
the Fatbob and the Streetbob both have the same seat height as the Low. So you should be okay.
Low riders
Street Bob and Fat Bob may have the same height, but being a vertically challenged female myself I know when I took a street bob out for a ride I could handle it was a nice ride .. the fat bob the controls are so far forward I was not comfortable with it and certainly couldn't push it to where it could have gone. I prefer not sliding around the seat and being able to reach the controls.
Unsure if there really is a way to extend the controls further back but am told they can't be shifted by the dealer.
2010 Harley Davidson-What's new
Reverse... they already list it on the option list.
Reverse
Reverse why not it is on Harleys new Trike why not all models
the springer is coming back,
the springer is coming back, along with a watercooled bagger, crossbones is dead, vrod gets a larger motor
the springer is back
probably wrong on all counts, certainly the X-Bones is staying
dark muscle
are they gonna do an all black muscle for 2010 im holding out to see
I'd really hope to see the
I'd really hope to see the x-bones discontinued: I own a rare pewter denim whose quotation will rise a lot... just kidding, but I'd love to see the standard springer back and I will surely shed a tear for the nighttrain if it goes off.
2010 Tri-Glide Trike
I am going to order a new Tri Glide and waiting on some factory incentives or rebates? Don't laugh, Harley has just come off a terrible spring sales season! Has anybody heard of any rebates or incentives for the new Tri-Glide?
TriGlide incentives
Joking right? they are impossible to get at MSRP, deposits already being taken on 2010 bikes for August delivery. The incentive is that they are 10k cheaper than putting a conversion on a new ultra.
Harley's First Quarter 09
Check your facts. Harleys first quarter had more sales in 2009 than 2008. 2nd quarter will be out soon.
Ed
H-D Q2 '09 profits down by 91% over 2008
The numbers have been out for a few days now. See Harley-Davidson second quarter 2009 profit down 91%.
Was Q2 '09 good? Not from what I just read.
2010 Rumors and Gossip
I got my FLTR in 2008, so I'm not crushed, but what a shame to lose such an iconic model. So, we've all heard basically the same thing about dropping models, but how about dropping plants? The latest hot scoop concerns the new imported CEO of the Motor Company, a man who doesn't ride nor own a motorcycle, and his plan to close York down AND outsource production to, you guessed it! CHINA! Check out that little tidbit and get back to us.
rumors and gossip
dont believe all you read. plants are not closing, he does ride and has a 2010 CVO on order ;)
New 2010 Tri Glide
I have mine coming into Cape Fear Harley Davidson, Fayetteville NC, next month. Two-tone, Flame Blue Pearl and Pewter Pearl. This is the only two-tone they are going to produce for 2010. At least this is what I was told by the dealership. Making the transition from my ultra to the tri glide because of knee problems and the red lights play hell on my knees. Also I think I'll enjoy the reverse!
Tri-Glide Reverse
The factory reverse on the tri-glide is junk. Won't even climb a slight grade without blowing the fuse. Consider an after-market version attached to the transmission with a gear shift.
Any changes for 2010? Price
Any changes for 2010? Price tag?
2010 heritage
New 200 back tire, 6 gallon tank, electronic throttle and cruise control...
2010 Heritage with 6 gallon tank and 200 rear - true?
1st of heard, where'd you hear that? Dealer...? Wouldn't mind seeing a bagger style softail.
2010 Sportsters
Are the any changes to the Sporster lineups for 2010? Both the 883 and 1200? Are they going to watercooled, or is that something we should start looking for in 2011?
2010 Tri Glide
Anyone here about the automatic transmission for the 2010 Tri Glide?
Automatic Trasmission for Trike
Doubtful, after several years of R&D just for the frame and body, to manufacture an automatic tranny does not make economic sense.
Water Cooled Touring Model
I hope H-D comes out with a watercooled touring bike that would compete with the Honda GoldWing. I love my 08 Ultra but I am tired of getting smoked by wingers. If they do I hope the do it right by keeping classic Harley styling. It does not have to look like an ultra but I sure hope it does not look like Victory Vision or Wing. I hope they come with a new engine package with a 6 speed trany. I'm in no hurry to trade, but would sure consider a new tourer done right.
if you don't want to be
if you don't want to be burned by "wingers" then you need better lean angle than the current Harleys. Oh and the MOCO will need to give you more power from the engine without roasting your legs.
08 Road Glide
Has been the best riding/handling Harley I have owned...which has included Ultra Classic, RK Custom, Deluxe and V-ROD. I would recommend to anyone at any time. Needing to sell mine now, so if anyone interested, check out the 2008 FLTR on ebay from Orwigsburg PA. Beyond loaded...$21,800.
New 2010 Model Changes
I am hoping that they will finally put a balanced motor in the higher end bikes like the Ultra. I went from a Fatboy to an Ultra and it was strange while stopped at first. Anyone else interested or is it just me?
that's just you.
that's just you.
New Models
There are no blacked out Dynas, I suspect there will be a Black Fat Bob! We'll soon see!
V-Rod Muscle 2010 Wish list
I'll choose a V-Rod Muscle in 2009-2010 if there will be :
1) All black / matt Black version ( Mandatory ! )
2) More torque & a much better / deeper noise (if possible...)
3) Different mappings to switch on handelbars. (I can dream.)
2010 info July 25th
until then most all info. is hogwash
2010 HD Models
I am almost positive they will have a Screaming Eagle Street Glide for 2010. This should be a complete sell out on the top selling model and they should bump productin to 5000.
I may even trade in my 2009 Street Glide if they do
TriGlide
I ordered the 2010 TriGlide was told that the price should be the same as for 09 but nothing for sure. I am hoping if there is a price reduction or incentive I will get it. I noticed about every touring model had the 1000 free accessories, I don't even know if I will get that or not. Hell of of a way to sell motorcycles, I had to order in order to get an August delivery date. The orders in July according to the dealer would be delivered in Oct., Nov. and the riding season would be over for me in my area.
NEW FATBOY
SOMETHING NEW FOR THE FATBOY? AN ANNIVERSARY MODEL OR A STRIPPER MODEL. NEW SLIMBOY?
2010 CVO's
Check out this link - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/4/167/6/Motorcycle-Blog-Post/Time-to-Ride-2010-Harley-CVO-Motorcycles.aspx
Bryan Harley will be test-riding the 2010 CVO's this week (June 29-July 4). We won't see any pics of them till after the dealer show in Denver starting July 25th, but it's good to know they're on the road.
Greatly look forward to seeing the new CVO's and reading Bryan's reviews.

At the time, we felt that the anonymous commenter was either blowing smoke or disclosing confidential information via our site -- if it wasn't a made-up story, then it was a violation of our Terms of Use. We thought it best to remove the post while we review the situation. Now that there are other non-confidential sources for the information, what's the point of restoring the hidden post?
We'll remove or edit posts from time to time. That's just the way it is.
Is that the pot I hear calling the kettle black?
The opening post of this thread was a posting of confidential dealer data. In fact, you posted what is likely copyrighted material, which is much more a violation of your own terms of use than someone saying they've been building the *snip* model for two weeks.
And now that the CARB docs list it, we know he wasn't blowing smoke.
Unless you had Harley's permission to post the dealer doc and you were just lying about the anonymous "tipster".
Of course, I fully expect this message to be removed due to some obscure violation of the terms of use.
Maybe's
My guess is FXSTSE (CVO Softail Standard) is a typo..
{probably should be FXSTSSE (CVO Springer)
FLSTFB maybe a Fat Boy blacked out??
FXCWC (Rocker Crossbones) ? FXCWC was Rocker C, but the CARB doc says "(Rocker Crossbones)"
(I think they got that wrong last year too... typo.. just a Rocker Chrome)
so what is the 2010
so what is the 2010 FLHK,FLXXX???
FLXXXX
WIth the road glide they are doing a street glide version and an ultra version. What if they are doing the same thing with the trikes??? The FLXXX is listed as a 103 right after the tri-glide. Ok, so the tri-glide is an ultra version of the trike. What if the FLXXX is a street glide trike? X is a street glide. Three X might be a trike? Just a guess....
FXDL
Lots of chatter about the Low Rider being discontinued for 2010. I have an 04 that I intend to trade this summer. Anyone have an idea about how my trade value will be impacted IF the Low Rider is discontinued?
FXDL Trade Values
In most markets values are significantly lower for Dynas than Softails. Most Sales Managers I've spoken with are trying to keep trade values at
NADA low wholesale. They may show you clean book on the PO, but they're being booked into inventory at an ACV of low book. You can't have it both ways people. We can't get all the money for our trade and expect a discount for the new model. The FXDL is being discontinued no doubt about it. As for trade value expect $6500 to $7000. If they give you anything more than $7k, keep your mouth shut except to say thank you, suck it up and take the deal.
Nightster
Does anyone know if they will offer black powder coat on the nightster engine, like they do on the iron 883 ?
Tri Glide
Any plans to do something to the Tri Glide? CVO? Custom paint? Some razmattazz? Perhaps that bike would be the first to offer the water-cooled engine since it has a wider profile anyway?
What about a rumble seat?
What about some custom wheels?
Suicide shifter?
2010 TriGlide
I hope they keep the catalytic converter off except for the CVO, California and European models. I fear even the lower 48 models will get them one of these days. They run hot enough already! Anybody know if the 2010 will have the converter?
Dealer Show
When is the Dealer Show in July?
Blacked out fat boy
I herd today that there will be a blacked out fat boy to replace the night train. I can't wait to see how they did with the design. It has the potential to be awesome.
There was a new Fatboy here
There was a new Fatboy here in New Zealand a couple of years back, the owner had put a blacked out motor like the Night Train in it, the fenders & tank were painted the standard Harley black, just picture a standard Fatboy with a blacked out motor, it was awesome looking and would be a big seller in my opinion.

I would like to know if the new tri-glide comes inflame blue for 2010.Thanks for all the infor.
Tri-Glide Colors

H-D Duece
Are they ever going to bring back the H-D Duece? It was the most comfortable/best riding position Softail available..Just needed the new 200 mm back tire and would be a heck of a bike. Did sales decrease so much on the Duece that H-D discontinued the bike? Rocker-c is nice looking bike but not too comfortable..back seat is like a rock after a few minutes and would look much better if seat was not free floating aboove rear fender and was attached to rear fender? Any info out there if Duece will be making a comeback? Softail custom is comfortable but seems to be everywhere and seems so common and overplayed. Or will HD ever get the Rocker-c right? and fix that rear seat so you could get a H-D without breaking the bank and going to aftermarket bike builders?
H-D Duece
Are they ever going to bring back the H-D Duece? It was the most comfortable/best riding position Softail available...and a nice looking bike/softail. Just needed the new 200 mm back tire and would be a heck of a bike. Would of wanted a stock big tire from H-D not to have to take bike apart and put afermarket parts with a high price tag...Rocker-c is nice looking bike but not too comfortable..back seat is like a rock after a few minutes and would look much better if seat was not free floating above rear fender and was attached to rear fender? Any info out there if Duece will be making a comeback? Softail custom is comfortable but seems to be everywhere and seems so common/overplayed. H-D
Does the new Touring bikes sound/feel different at Idle now that they stop firing the rear cylinder when idling/at stops to decrease heat coming off the motor for Riders? I would think it would not quite sound as good. Does anyone know if H-D is going to start doing that with the Softail models? I hope not..If we were worried about the extra heat coming off the motor we wouldn't be riding HOG's...
The Engine Idle Temperature
The Engine Idle Temperature Management system can be enabled or disabled by the rider on Touring bikes. Even if it is enabled, it won't cut-out the firing of the rear cylinder unless all the hot running perameters are met. The EITMS will activate and turn off the rear cylinder when all of the following conditions are met for approx 6 seconds: Engine temp is greater than 287 degrees, throttle position is less than .9%, vehicle speed is under 1 mph, and engine speed is less than 1200 rpm's. This feature is available for all 2007 Dyna's and Softails if you want it activated but I don't think the rider can deactivate the system once it's activated on these models. This is not new news. It's been avialable on all Big Twins since 2007. Have your dealer pull up service bulletin M-1220.
FLTRU
I'm lookin' forward to seeing how the MoCo fits out the '10 Ultra RG.
My '05 w/ TP & lowers is as fine'a ride as I really need, but I can't help dreamin' about a factory dressed RG w/ intercom, VENTED lowers, the new frame, those Brembo brakes ....... & a 103 kit.
......... and in a Yellow Pearl, of course !
2010 RG
I bought an 05 RG new and outfitted it with a tourpak and other accessories similar to the Ultra Classic. I really wanted to move up to the new 09 frame and keep with the RG line, but the price of adding a color matched TourPak made me say, not this time. The price of the individual pieces is just too high. Now if the 2010 model is a reality, I just might go that route.
FLTRU
I've got a 09 Screamin' Eagle Road Glide in Yellow Pearl that I'll make you a deal on. Why do a 103 when you can have a 110? We can figure out the rest of the "Ultra" components.
09 SE RG for sale?
I'm ready to buy the '09 CVO RG (yellow 1st choice, but would consider orange). Want to pick it up on the West Coast area, but for right price, will consider buying and shipping to my starting point later this month.... Who's got one?
SE FOR SALE
1 orange bike left in stock, call for price 503-363-0634. Salem Oregon, ask for Craig
There is also an orange RG
There is also an orange RG SE at the HD dealer in Albany Oregon and it's on sale for 29 and change. Saw it yesterday and it appears they want to move it.
road glide
after reading all the comments on the road glide,i will have to see if my dealer has one to take for a spin.i bet the ride is pretty good compared to my 2007 wide glide! i just dont think the road glide is very appealing to the eye. but thats just my opinion!ride safe!
Road Glide Popularity
There are exactly two things that keep the Road Glide from being more popular, IMO, as an owner with a wandering eye:
1. Ugly, non-improvable inner fairing
2. Poor paint design on fairing (I hate the swooshes)
You also can't really put a cup-holder anyway due to the handlebar movement being restricted if you're not careful.
I added Ultra seat and detachable Tour Pack. I now sort of have two bikes. One long-slung Road Glide build for one-up touring and another built for two-up touring.
Road glide is a great one-up touring bike, IMO.
Road Glide ride
2004 Road Glide, with tour pack, cb radio, now over 72k on it. over 2/3rds of the lower forty eight states visited. Saw it born out of the crate at the dealer, been riding it ever since. Obviously, I like to ride it. It will keep up with Ultras for comfort on long rides, better gas mileage than a brand new Glide. Upgraded to 96 ci when I ran a road hazard through the case. Would I like to see a new one, complete will all the extras I had to pay for separately, you bet. You can add a cup holder to the handlebar and I have one that comes in handy and doesn't get in the way. So, it is My bike of choice. May not be yours, but it's mine for a while now. Ride On, whatever you choose.
