AMA Superbike Championship presented by Parts Unlimited - Saturday Practice

The AMA Superbikes were running strong on Saturday in practice

  • Matt Mladin 1:23:970, 95.948 mph
  • Ben Spies 1:24:002, 95.912 mph
  • Jamie A Hacking 1:24:82, 94.984 mph
  • Aaron W Yates 1:25:189, 94.575 mph
  • Jason Disalvo 1:25:222, 94.539 mph

  • Casey Stoner took the pole position on his last lap at 1:22:292
  • Dani Pedrosa turned a 1:22.501 on his 31st lap to secure 2nd place
  • Chris Verneulin had a fast time of 1:22.590 -- good for 3rd place
  • Nicky Hayden really turned it on to shoot up the grid running a 1:22:624 on his 34th lap
  • Valentino Rossi also ran a fast lap at the end of qualifying turning in a lap of 1:22.683 on his 32 lap
