2009 Ducati Monster 1100 - Quick Take
Ducati has had a solid presence in the naked bike market with the Monster for 11 years. Ducati just raised the bar with the 2009 Ducati Monster 1100 and 1100S. Big bore twin power, sexy single-sided swingarm and top notch components should be the key to monster sales.
Ducati decided to take control of the naked bike market with the 2009 Ducati Monster 1100 and 1100S. Less-is-more is the design concept. Less weight (-17.6lbs from the S2R) with the new single-sided swingarm. The ride height has been tuned for spirited riding and the Öhlins forks and rear shock absorber on the 1100S are among the best suspension components available. 95HP and 75.9ft. lbs of torque will have riders enjoying back road riding without dancing on the shifter.

I never thought another motorcycle could get me to sell my 1990 Hawk GT -- but the 2009 Ducati Monster is every thing my Hawk is and more. I can't wait to test ride the new Monster 1100s.
