Premium Suspension and Brakes
With the premium suspension the XR1200X let the rider tune the suspension to their weight, riding style and road conditions. The Showa Big Piston Front fork eliminates many of the internal components in a cartridge-type fork resulting in lighter weight. The large diameter of the internal piston allows a reduction in damping pressure for outstanding feedback and smooth action. Rebound and and compression damping are tuned with adjustment screws on top of the fork bolts. Spring pre-load is adjusted with a M5 hex screw on the axle holders.
Showa rear shocks feature nitrogen charged piggyback reservoirs. The compression damping is adjusted with a know on top of the reservoir. Rebound damping is adjusted with a wheel on the lower clevis. Rear Spring load is also adjustable.
Dual 292mm full-floating rotors with Nissin four-piston calipers add the finishing touches to the premium suspension.
