2007 Cycle World IMS
Crowds, Motorcycles, and Sunshine
2007 International Motorcycle Show in San Mateo Presented by Toyota
The 2007 International Motorcycle Show in San Mateo featured the expected assortment of motorcycle manufacturers, accessory vendors, and crowds. Manufacturers large and small were in attendance, presenting their latest offerings to an eager crowd. The weather was superb compared to past years' events; event organizers claim over 41,000 in attendance - the motorcycle parking lots were full all weekend.
These events are offer a good opportunity to try out bikes and accessories from many manufacturers in one place - motorcycles, helmets, jackets, gloves, you name it. Some manufacturers had other product lines on display: personal watercraft, generators, and the like. Whatever your interest in motorcycling, it's a great opportunity to immerse yourself in motorcycle and motorsports technology.Looking for more photos?

Cycle World Display
As usual, the Cycle World display hosted outstanding customs. It's always worth heading over to their display to see what's cooking.
Manufacturer Highlights
Manufacturers big and small were in attendance as usual. Here are some highlights:
The 'Big Names'
BMW
BMW was showing off the usual assortment of finely crafted motorcycles. The floor display was busy with lots of visitors, reps, and other lovely people.
Buell
Visitors showed much interest in the newly-announced 1125R. One visitor observed that it might be difficult selling them at the H-D dealerships, now that the 1125R has no H-D motor or other heritage...
Ducati
Doug Polen World Superbike Racer
Harley-Davidson
The Harley-Davidson floor display was busy as always. Even with recent sales slowdowns, H-D draws big crowds, and people were trying out the new models as well as the classics.
Honda
We didn't see much action at the Honda display. They had the usual selection on display, and there were occasional visitors. Perhaps this is due to lack of significant new product introductions this year. They did have some interesting bikes on display, but not much new that I could see.
Yamaha
Kawasaki
Kawasaki had some outrageous stuff on display - there was an incredible ZX-14-based custom drag bike that drew big crowds.
