Reno here we come!
I prepared my bike and I for the upcoming Street Vibrations event, which I have done in the past on my Harley, but this year I am making the trek on my new mount, the 06 Hayabusa Limited. I am hoping to find other fellow sport bike fans to ride some of the rides with and would love to hear from you.
A Golden Opportunity
Highway 88 near Woodfords and highways 89 and 4 near Markleeville provide a spectacular combination of dramatic mountain views and fantastic fall foliage. In October, the aspens turn a beautiful color, revealing a surprising collection of wildly-colored landscapes to the lucky traveller.
Travelling east on 88 out of the mountain passes towards 89 and Lake Tahoe, we are delighted to see the hills awash in fiery colors.
Sorensen's
Sorensen's resort provides a place to stay if you want to see the area over an extended period. There's a gift shop, 3 bed and breakfast cabins, and 27 housekeeping cabins. Click here to continue...Unbelievable Day in the Hills
Had a meeting in Capitola this morning so I rode down to get through some of the bad traffic areas on 880 and 17. After the meeting I rode up Hwy 9. I started to get that sinking feeling, because there were several areas of one lane traffic and road work.
Once I got through Boulder Creek an unbelievable thing happened - there was not a single vehicle in front of me the entire way up to Hwy 35. I stopped at Four Corners for a few minutes and then decided to ride up to Skywood Trading Post for a sandwich. Again there was not one vehicle on the road in front of me.

Photo of Hwy 35 (Skyline) going North from HWY 9. I'll experiment with the zoom to narrow the field of view.
