2009 VRSCF V-Rod® Muscle™ Model Overview
VRSCF V-Rod® Muscle™ Model Overview
Here's a quick take from the official H-D release. The wide, angular air-box cover and chopped tail section look as solid and smooth as billet and give the new V-Rod Muscle lines that are clean and powerful. The size of the massive 240 mm rear tire is accentuated by the new broad, clipped and clean rear fender. The combination stop/tail/turn LED light is tucked under the edge of the rear fender, and the side-mount license plate leaves the fender surface smooth and uncluttered. Front-end styling balances the rear, with a trimmed fender that’s blacked out behind satin-finished inverted forks and LED turn signals integrated into the mirror stems. The radiator shrouds are restyled and color-matched to the rest of the bodywork, while the new airbox side covers incorporate air scoop inlets covered with woven wire mesh. The silver five-spoke cast aluminum front and rear wheels are a new design for the V-Rod line.
A new deep seat holds the rider firmly in place against the thrust of the Revolution V-Twin engine. The Muscle features forward foot controls, and a new handlebar with internal wiring. The handlebar is 1.5-inch cast aluminum with tubular steel ends and integrated risers. Bold polished forged aluminum triple clamps secure the inverted forks and frame the distinctive V-Rod teardrop reflector optic headlamp, housed in a satin black bucket.
The long profile of a 34-degree fork rake is stretched visually by new “sidepipe” dual exhausts in satin chrome with fat, turn-out mufflers exiting behind the rear axle. The V-Rod Muscle is available in Vivid Black, Brilliant Silver, Dark Blue Denim and Red Hot Sunglo.

so, what's wrong with this?
so, what's wrong with this? I'm reading lots of hating on different forums, but I don't mind it so far. Haven't seen one in person, though, but it will be worth a trip to the stealer to see what all the fuss is about.
I think it looks pretty
I think it looks pretty sharp. I'm actually planning on buying next summer.
i like it
this looks like nothing i have seen but everything that i have wanted to do the the older v-rod i have been putting off buying the night rod wondering how i can afford to do to the bike what i want to do to it. and then the muscle comes out which has almost everything done to it that i want. Thank you harley for making this bike i hope it will not be hard to find one when they hit the stores. would love to pull up to some hard core bikers look at them and just lay waste to them on a harley like this one. especially after i get done tuning it. looking forward to it. I think the hardest thing will be is making it sound mean like a harley should. i know the v-rods don't have that sound that is known to harley. the after market will have to come up with something.
Nice styling HD
Although I'm not found of the name I am also planning on buying one next summer. I hesitated on buying the other V-Rods (except the DX special) b/c of the width of the models. I like the low, long look but I felt it missed some width. The Muscle captures this. The more I research this bike the more I like it. I love the fact the Harley is thinking ahead rather than catering to the old school bikers.
it's not mcdonald's, but i'm lovin' it...
bought one vivid black with ABS and smart security system --- it handles very well and the acceleration is amazing. the silencers (noise reduction system) make it a pretty quiet bike, i.e. i couldnt hear it idling from about 40 yards away. I'm sure it's much louder while going 30+ mph but I havent seen anyone else with one of these yet. I think I'm the first one in Waco to own one. :-)
V-Rods Rock!
I ran across your site accidentally, but I'm sure you won't mind if an older (46) non-rider (due to spinal cord injury) still drools and leaves a message. One day I'll ride again (and that thought keeps me going some days.)
Anyway, I think the cost of insurance will go even higher once they hear the name ;-), although I love it (more drool) and the time is right for the name and machine, which I find desirable, it'll be worth the cost of insurance in my book.
