2009 Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup - Cancelled
The Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup is the latest casualty of the financial meltdown. Reductions in partner support led to the tough decision to cancel the season. The spirit of the Rookies Cup remains and American riders Benny Solis of North Hollywood, California, Hayden Gillim of Owensboro, Kentucky and Jake Gagne of Ramona, California will race around the world in the Red Bull Rookies Cup.

Troubled times for manufacturers and motorsports fans alike
Sources have reported that Kawasaki is set to announce its departure from MotoGP on January 5, 2009. If true, this leaves the Kawasaki MotoGP team riders (Melandri, Hopkins) looking for a new team in the coming season.
On the four-wheeled scene, Honda quit Formula One in December. Suzuki and Subaru are pulling out of WRC (See our related links, below.)
Things are tough all over. The economic conditions are likely to worsen before they improve, and manufacturers have a tough time justifying the expense of maintaining high-profile racing programs...

Ducati USA: Killer financing deals on Hypermotard and 1098 Superbike models
Ducati USA appear to be stepping up efforts to expand Ducati ownership in these United States.
For a limited time, Ducati USA(in collaboration with GE Money) are offering financing rates as low as 0.99% and terms up to 72 months. The special runs from August 1st, 2008 to October 31st, 2008 at participating Ducati dealers.
The following models are eligible for special financing:

2008 1098 Superbike
